Contagious?

What fun. I got to spend the last few days at home with contagious pink eye. That and the internationally traveling TB guy got me thinking.

Cabbies - ever catch something not so fun from all those passengers? And have you passed anything along? (Mad Cabbie, head out of gutter on this one) ;)

  1. Whatever is going around, we are usually the first to catch it.

  3. Heh, yeah - that which does not kill us, only makes us stronger...

...or weaker for the next blow.

I rarely get more than one cold per season, if that, since I live alone. Since cabbing, I've had about 2x the usual bouts.

  5. I had one cold after another during my first year of driving -- and I usually only get one small cold every other year. I must have built up a tolerance, because I've only had one cold/flu episode in over a year.

  6. When I started driving a taxi I used to catch everything going, I dreaded people getting into the cab coughing and sneezing, after 12 years driving around Dublin in a taxi I think my immune system is like a titanium shield now

  7. That's exactly why I get a flu shot every year.
