Question 4 Cabbies - Routine and Unusual

What is the average run (passenger type or number, or route) that you have?

What is the most unusual run (passenger type or number, or route) that you have had?

Just based on my taxi rides, I'd say the average downtown DC weekday run is 1 or 2 people going between Capital Hill and K street area. So different cities, different schedules -- share!

My usual runs are horny people going some where to get laid.

For me the very unusual runs are those who are trying to go to work!

Same here! On night shift, it's bars, bars and more bars. We have $5 Thursday here, average $ per run is lower than the weekend, several downtown bars are very popular and are just a $5 minimum from the campus living area. You do alright tho, because you do them back to back all night.

I was hoping for something more out there.

Average run (Brisbane, Australia) = about USD$10.00.

Most unusual run? The female passenger who told me in all seriousness that she was completely invisible, and that she had made herself invisible so no one would notice her going AWOL from the psychiatric ward. At the end of the AUD$12 trip, she paid in (quite visible and tangible) money, then told me to check my bank account in the morning because she would give me a $200 million tip.

Either she got the account number wrong, or the tip was invisible.
